Premier League - DJ Campbell joins QPR
Queens Park Rangers have signed DJ Campbell from relegated Blackpool for around £1.2 million.
Campbell, a QPR fan, hit 13 Premier League goals last season but could not stop the Seasiders from relegation on the last day of the season.
The 29 year-old has signed a two-year contract at Loftus Road, where he played as a youth before moving into non-league football.
"It's a club that I supported as a kid," Campbell told the QPR website.
He will partner Jay Bothroyd up front - another former QPR youth-team product, who joined on a free from Cardiff City earlier this summer.
QPR have also signed Keiron Dyer and Danny Gabbidon on free transfers, a surprisingly modest outlay given the resources of co-owners Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore.
They have, however, so far managed to hold on to playmaker Adel Taarabt, despite a bid from Paris Saint-Germain.
