Northampton v Barnet

Hendon (pictured) will give Leach a late fitness test before naming his squad.

Leach missed the 2-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Millwall in midweek with an ankle injury and has been sent for a scan. Should the Australian miss out then Clovis Kamdjo will again partner Ismail Yakubu in the heart of defence.

Assistant manager Gary Breen is still out with a knee problem while left-back Kenny Gillet remains sidelined with his hamstring injury. John O'Flynn will partner 40-year-old Paul Furlong in attack while captain Micah Hyde will return in midfield after he was rested for the cup win.

Northampton hope to have striker Adebayo Akinfenwa back in their line-up.

Akinfenwa - who saw a move to Swansea fall through - has missed the last two games with a shin injury but is back in training and poised to partner Steve Guinan in attack. Midfielder Luke Guttridge has yet to feature this season due to a knee problem but he has started training and has been pencilled in for a reserve match early next week.

Wing-back Liam Davis remains sidelined as he recovers from a broken foot sustained in pre-season while utility-man John Curtis is out with a calf problem. Striker Billy McKay is also absent as he is away on international duty with the Northern Ireland U21 side.

Morecambe v Rochdale

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy looks set to hand new recruit Paul Mullin his debut when Lancashire rivals Rochdale visit.

The veteran striker joined the Shrimps earlier in the week from Accrington but did not feature in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Carlisle. He now looks certain to be thrust into the action against Dale and there were positives to emerge from the midweek penalty shoot-out defeat against the Cumbrians.

Midfielder Fraser McLachlan is a long-term absentee after he twisted his knee in the opening-day draw against Hereford.

Rochdale boss Keith Hill is boosted by the return of captain Gary Jones for the trip to Lancashire rivals Morecambe.

The midfield powerhouse missed the 2-1 home defeat to Bradford in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy because of a virus but he looks certain to be passed fit to face the Shrimps. Striker Chris O`Grady could return to the starting line-up after being ineligible to feature against the Bantams as Dale seek to bounce back from their midweek defeat.
