German Andre Greipel beat out retiring compatriot Erik Zabel in a mass sprint to win the Munsterland Giro.
The Columbia rider pipped the 38-year-old Milram veteran to the line after the 209-km German one-day event.
Robert Forster of team Gerolsteiner took third as Belgian Rabobank rider Michael Van Staeyen was the best-placed non-German in fifth, finishing in front of CSC's Argentine sprinter Juan José Haedo.
The race was Zabel's final contest on home soil and a bittersweet end to a storied 16-year career that included six Tour de France green jerseys.

Greipel has no heart
he will be around for alot longer
why not let Zabel leave on a win
like the peloton shouldve granted EKimov in 2006
