Pozzato wins Cimurri

Italian champion Filippo Pozzato won the Memorial Cimurri after a sprint finish in Italy.

The Katusha rider won the race after a number of attempted breaks failed around the streets of Emilia-Romagna.

The race, which first entered the calendar in 2005, was won by Ukrainian Mikhaylo Khalilov last year but he could only finish fourth this time out.

  1. Emila-Romagna is a region around 100km by 100 km...How­ do you race round the streets of an area that­ big!
    Seriouslly- the Cimurri is held in and around­ Reggio Emilia which is a city- I suppose it IS in­ Emilia Romagna at least!
    Seems if a race isn't on­ Eurosport they cannot even be bothered to find out­ anything beyond the winners name- so much for an­ integrated TV/Web sports media :(
