United dressed down by boss

Dundee United manager Craig Levein revealed he had to subject his players to the hairdryer treatment at half-time following a woeful first half display in their 1-1 draw at Hibs.

Merouane Zemmama put Hibs ahead as John Hughes men dominated, only for Andy Webster to equalise as United had Prince Buaben sent off for an altercation with Anthony Stokes.

Levein said: "Poor is not the word for how bad we were in the first half. In the three years I have been at the club, I can count on one hand how many times I have had to raise my voice.

"I can't believe how bad we were in the first half. It was more than concerning, we couldn't pass the ball, we didn't tackle and we didn't win the second ball.

"It wasn't about personnel, it was more about the attitude of the personnel. When passes go astray that's them not concentrating but a kick up the backside can change that.

"The pleasing thing was the attitude we showed right from kick off after the break, we were on the front foot."
