Murray signs major new sponsorship deal

Andy Murray has signed a "long-term" sportswear deal with German firm Adidas from 2010, ending his long-standing partnership with Fred Perry.

Adidas, the world's second-largest sports goods maker, did not give details on the length or value of the deal, though media reports suggested it to be worth more than 10 million euros.

"The 22-year-old Briton will sport the iconic 3-Stripes from January onwards," the company said in a statement, adding that the deal was "long-term".

"I'm really excited to be joining Adidas as they are a massive global sports brand with a credible heritage in tennis," Murray said in the statement. "I'm in no doubt that this deal will help me both on and off the court."

World number four Murray, who briefly rose to number two earlier this year, has won 13 singles titles since 2006.

    I really dont see any thing big in andy murray well­ people do clasified him to be in the leauge of nadal as­ federer but i think he is not he hasnt got any­ gramslams to show for it, he will be lucky to win one i­ wonder wat he will think when he sees del potro flyed­ past him and win grandslam.
