Serie A - Dossena agent in Napoli hint

The agent of Liverpool full-back Andrea Dossena has said a move to Napoli "would be a good choice" for the out-of-favour Italian.

Left-sided defender Dossena (pictured) has struggled to secure a first-team place at Anfield, falling behind 20-year-old Argentine Emiliano Insua and Brazilian Fabio Aurelio in the pecking order.

He has repeatedly been linked with a return to Italy and agent Roberto La Florio admitted joining Napoli could help his chances of playing at next summer's World Cup.

"We will wait until the international break to evaluate and talk to Andrea," La Florio told Tuttomercatoweb. "One thing that is certain is that no agreement has been reached with us.

"I don't know if the clubs have spoken to each other but for sure we have not been informed.

"Andrea wants to go to the World Cup. Napoli are doing well and in the eyes of everyone it would be a good choice."

Dossena, who joined from Udinese last summer, has only played once in the Premier League this season.
