Coleman's joy at Barnett signing

Chris Coleman has spoken of his delight at landing Leon Barnett on a three-month loan deal from West Brom.

The centre-back could be followed by more new faces ahead of Friday's trip to Derby in a bid to boost a squad ravaged by injury and illness, which is also struggling for form having picked up one point from a possible 12.

Coleman told his club's official website: "We've made no secret of the fact that we have been looking to strengthen at the back but we wanted to make sure we got the right man in.

"I am delighted to get Leon until the end of January and we believe he will do a very good job for us over the next three months."

    Barnett makes one mistake per game at least­ that usually leads to a goal.
    Seriously we paid 3­ million for him, he has a big heart but is so­ inconsistent, perhaps this is the chance he needs to­ live up to his price tag. He was Lutons other centre­ half along side Curtis Davies, we got 9 million for­ him!! Good luck for the season

    Problem is m8 Ward is off at the­ first chance he gets, and he is as big a liability as­ twinkletoes Turner.
    I think Best will be gone in the­ next window [Notts Forest], and Eastwood to the­ Borough........No not­ Middlesborough.................."Nuneaton".
    H­ e is so slow...I've seen milk turn quicker. He is­ laziest player Coventry have had since George­ Hudson.
    Any City fans remember him?.
