Earnie keen for Forest comeback

Wed, 04 Nov 11:32:05 2009

Robert Earnshaw is desperate to revive his waning Nottingham Forest career and win back his starting place.

The Wales striker has started just two Championship games and made five appearances from the bench this season due to injuries and fierce competition for places.

But last season's top scorer is set to return from a calf strain this weekend and could have an extended run in the side with Nathan Tyson (calf) and Dexter Blackstock (knee) both injured.

"That is the thing for me, I want to be playing football. I am never happy when I am not," he told the Nottingham Evening Post.

"When I am out the side, whether I am injured or not, I am just horrible. It is not nice.

"I want to be playing, that is my aim. I want to go on and do more than I did last season. I want to be improving all the time, I want to get goals and I want to do well for Nottingham Forest."
