Fryatt's Premier aim

Leicester striker Matty Fryatt believes the Foxes can defy the doubters and push for promotion to the Premier League this season.

The Foxes briefly went to second in the Championship on Friday night following their 2-1 win over QPR at Loftus Road.

They dropped back down to fourth following the Saturday fixtures but Fryatt insists their goal is to reach the top-flight.

"Outsiders may put us down as a side that isn't going to be challenging, but we might have surprised a few with the position we are in now," he told the Leicester Mercury.

"We did well last season and we want to keep that going. We just want to keep moving in the right direction.

"We go into every game looking to get those three points, but within the team there is the focus to get into the Premier League one day, whether it is this season or not. It is a goal we have all got, so we are just going about our own business."

  1. As a Leicester City fan I would love to see Leicester back in the Prem but if I'm honest, I'd rather become a stronger side first because if we got promoted now, we'd be annihilated and do worse than Derby did when they got 11 points and only 1 win. We really need some class players which we only have a few of now.
