Blackpool manager Ian Holloway believes his current players can carve a niche in the Seasiders' history books.
Holloway has steered his side to their highest position in the Football League for more than 30 years since taking over from Tony Parkes in the summer.
The former Bristol rovers, QPR, Plymouth and Leicester manager told the Blackpool Gazette: "I want some of my players to be recognised and remembered and I've told them that.
"I want them to be revered like Alan Suddick, Jimmy Armfield and the other figures in the history of this football club.
"I believe they can do it, I honestly really believe that."
Holloway added: "I think we can write some new history for this football club because the last bits are a little too long ago in my opinion."

Yes, the memories certainly are 'a bit too long ago' but that's the nature of history isn't it! One positive is, that there is still a thriving BFC to reminisce about. I can appreciate the frustration of a current young supporter being told 'Oh, he's not as good as Ray Charnley you know.'..... and so on.
I think Blackpool's most famous South African player has got to be Bill Perry. I hope I haven't got that wrong, Jaime.
Go Blackpool, a South African supporter.!!
