McCarthy ready to quit Rovers - Agent

Wed, 04 Nov 16:04:19 2009

Benni McCarthy wants to leave Blackburn and will seeking a January move in a bid to revive his career, according to his agent.

The South Africa striker has struggled to hold down a regular first-team place this season, making just one start in 10 league games, while he has failed to score for Sam Allardyce's team since the start of the new campaign.

"Yes, Benni wants to leave Blackburn," Rob Moore told www.kickoff.com. "He has not been given the chance to show his worth this season in the Premiership and there's no denying that it seems like he is not the type of player Sam Allardyce is looking for."

Moore revealed that McCarthy's fellow countryman Elrio van Heerden, who joined the club in the summer, may also be searching for a new club in a bid to boost his Bafana Bafana chances.

Moore added: "This has been a bad season at Blackburn for both Elrio and Benni - neither seem to be the kind of player that fits into the Blackburn system and both need to move on in January."

  3. Well boys and girls its starting to dawn on you what a rip off football is.You have cling ons in every side but Rovers have more than most.Watch this space Rovers will be relegated unless we get rid of the cling ons starting with Big Sham, and his backroom staff, plus at least six players in the first team. They are all money grubbers and not the least interested in the paying fans except to stuff their hard earned money in their collective pockets every week. SHAME ON THE BOARD ALLOWING THIS TO HAPPEN

  6. BenA which team are you watching??which player are you watching?? mc duff's a total waste of space and has been now for a couple of seasons lazy, unfit, slow, no movement etc etc etc you must be a relation of his??.

  7. Hi ryanjames?? did it take two of you to write that?? i know Burnley is the home of dixlexia but it wasn't to difficult a sentence to write was it??
Give you a call on saturday around 5.45pm see if you've stopped laughing then eh??
lets face it hull at home not really a game and you nearly lost that if you hadn't totally bribed the ref?? no penalty, hull scored a perfectly good goal and then a sending off which was described even by the yahoo team as harsh to put it mildly?? man city at home?? 2 chances None and none at all! another 5/6/7/8 bashing! remember 5.45 sat!

  9. Allardyce needs to buck up his ideas and start playin two up front, one of them being Benni. I'd be majorly disappointed to see him go as who else has consistently scored goals when in the team???
He was our top scorer last season & is easily our most gifted player.
Allardyce should stop being such a massive @#$% and playing just one up front EVERY game, even the games we should win. It's a defeatist attitude! Give Benni the chance he deserves

From BenA, on Wed 4 Nov 5:28PM
  10. Who the f..k is Rob Moore???? Quite obviously yet another complete banana case of an agent who wouldnt know a quality player if one fell on his head!! and his only motivation is one of greed!

From steve f, on Wed 4 Nov 5:01PM
  11. Who in the qorld does Benni Mc duff think he is????? he's eaten all the pies for the last two years without any substancial return! he cant sustain a first team place beceause he hasn't scored other than a mickey mouse goal in a second rate cup match, his contribution is pracitally nil every time he comes on the field, a trot about is all he can manage! him and his mate roberts are a great duo with almost no goals this season and not likely to be any in almost a third of a season! you can see by his body language he doesn't give a damm and the poor little chap wants to "leave to revive his career!! WHAT THATS ALL ABOUT THE TOTAL WASTER!!! he hasnt got a career who is he trying to kid?? I would imagine that there willnot be more than a handfull of supporters who would welcome Mcduff Roberts and pederson all going in the january window!! but who is going to buy them? only a manager who is completly insane GET A LIFE!!
