Moxey - Gunners on another level

Wed, 04 Nov 12:58:09 2009

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey has admitted that although the Molineux club are in the same division as Saturday's opponents Arsenal, they are not in the same league when it comes to competing at the highest level.

While Wolves are battling for survival, Arsenal can focus on aiming for a place in the Champions League, and that is a situation Moxey cannot see changing for some time to come.

"We are very comfortable with our own club in that we're in a very healthy, sound position in our evolution," said Moxey in the Wolverhampton Express & Star.

"From our point of view, while we're aware of the national and international issues of football, the most important thing for Wolverhampton Wanderers is not considering whether we can compete with clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea, or whether we're concerned with any potential rules or regulation changes to be brought in by the central organisations, whether that's the Premier League, UEFA or FIFA.

"Our main priority is to concentrate on staying in the Premier League and developing as a Premier League club in the medium term. That's all we're focused on. We can't change the world."

  2. Does @#$% (poxey) moxey mention his £2 million bonus for us getting promoted???
    NO NO NO NO NO
So when the club was sold by jack hayward an agreement was made, the steve morgan could have it for £10 quid aslong as £30 million was spent on playing staff when promoted, and the corners of the ground filled. Well we spent what? 12-15 mil?? and there have been tempory uncovered seats put up by the southbank.
    WTF??????????????
30 mil + 30 mil tv for promotion, and we get 12 mil on players and a few benches.
Disgusting. I pay £600 for a season ticket and this is how we get repaid.
Thank god mick has done well with the few quid he had and some of the old guns ( especially craddock and berra) have come good.
XMAS is time for spending @#$% so get the cheque book out. We are crying out for another top quality prem standard striker and a pair of wingers (if i hear one more diluded fan say kightly is good enough il scream, and jarvis and SEB same same). Benjani is a prove goalscorer in lower league teams and is sat bench warming at Man C, get him, then adam johnson from boro, then hopefully pick up a eastern block winger for pitance. total £12-15 mil again. Try a new left back too.
Get spending and we go from a pos relegation team to a mid table prem team.
