Peschi eyeing loan market

Burton manager Paul Peschisolido could be forced into making a loan signing as the injury problems at the club continue to intensify.

Albion have only two fit full-backs - Ryan Austin and Aaron Webster - after Andy Corbett, who can operate at full-back or midfield, suffered an abductor muscle injury in a reserve fixture on Monday night.

The 29-year-old could be out for at least two weeks and, with full-back Paul Boertien, midfielder John McGrath and Keith Gilroy injured, Peschisolido is short of resources.

"We are looking at the situation on a daily basis and assessing what we need to do," he told the Burton Mail.

"It may be that we need to bring somebody in, perhaps a full-back, but it would still be a case of trying to find the right players.

"If we go down that road it has to be the right player. Someone who will improve on what we already have, and we don't have a bucket load of money to spend."
