Rocket Makes It Four On The Spin

Tue 04 Dec, 12:41 AM

Ronnie O'Sullivan beat John Higgins 7-4 in Aberdeen on Sunday night to retain his Premier League Snooker title.

Higgins took the first frame with a 73 after a poor missed red from O'Sullivan. The Rocket took the second with a 54 and made it 2-1 aided by a 67.

Two breaks of 40 from Higgins levelled the score and the Scot regained the lead at 3-2 with breaks of 42 and 35.

The Scot had a golden chance at the start of frame six but missed a simple pink from which the Rocket made 80 to draw level at 3-3.

O'Sullivan then upped the tempo with 104 and an 86 making it 5-3 and a 110 made it 6-3.

An unlucky in-off from the Rocket in the next gave Higgins a chance from which he made his first century of the night, a 104 to trail 6-4.

O'Sullivan didn't manage to convert his first two chances in the next but a good long opening red launched a 69 to seal victory and make it a remarkable four Premier League titles on the spin.
