Goals from Matthew Hamshaw and Ian Holmes handed League Two outfit Mansfield a place in the FA Cup fourth round after a 2-1 win at Brighton. The Stags, without an away league win all season, twice went in front against their off-song League One opponents.
Hamshaw fired Mansfield ahead after only 10 minutes, cutting in from the by-line and firing a low shot into the net.
But Albion striker Alex Revell cashed in on poor marking to head his side level after 22 minutes following a free-kick by Dean Cox.
But plucky Mansfield struck again with a flowing move which saw Ian Holmes convert an excellent cross from the right by John Mullins.
