Boruc signs new deal at Celtic

Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc has signed a new deal with the SPL champions, keeping him at Parkhead until 2011.The Poland international, 27, joined the Hoops in summer 2005 from Legia Warsaw and has since made over 100 senior appearances for the club.

Boruc's future had been the subject of intense speculation in Glasgow in recent weeks, with both AC Milan and Arsenal linked with his services.

However, he has now committed himself to Celtic, telling his official website: "I'm very grateful to the Celtic management for putting their trust in me.

"That's why I accepted the new contract offered to me and I have extended it for three more years."

Hoops chief executive Peter Lawwell confirmed the deal, telling BBC Sport: "Talks have been ongoing for a while and we are delighted that Artur has decided to sign."
