Manager John Sheridan has hailed Oldham fans' dedication after a season-record number of away fans made the trip to Huddersfield on Saturday.A total of 2,980 travelling Latics fans witnessed the 1-1 draw in the war of the roses derby at the Galpharm Stadium at the weekend - Athletic's highest away league attendance of the campaign so far.
And Sheridan admits the fans played their part as his side extended their unbeaten run to nine games against their Yorkshire rivals.
"The fans were absolutely brilliant on Saturday - they travelled in numbers and made plenty of noise," Sheridan told the club's official website.
