Stockport are set to sign Liverpool defender Robbie Threlfall and Reading striker Dave Mooney on loan ahead of the visit of Cheltenham.Threlfall, 20, has enjoyed two successful loan spells with County's League One rivals Hereford while Mooney arrives from Reading after joining the club from Cork City in the summer.
Former Shamrock Rovers and Longford forward Mooney, 24, has made two Carling Cup substitute appearances for Reading this season.
Both men are expected to be in contention to face Martin Allen's side at Edgeley Park as Stockport seek to enhance their promotion credentials.
On-loan Oldham striker Craig Davies has returned to Boundary Park after a two-month loan spell in which he scored five goals in 13 appearances for the Hatters.
But defender Michael Raynes and striker Matty McNeil are hoping to feature after hamstring and back injuries respectively.
