Injury worry for Town's Wright

Mon 05 Jan, 01:00 PM

Ipswich defender David Wright fears that he could be out for two weeks after limping out against Chesterfield in the FA Cup on Saturday.Wright was withdrawn midway through the second half of the 3-0 win at Portman Road amid concerns he had aggravated the hamstring injury that kept him out of festive fixtures against Birmingham and Derby.

"It's obviously very disappointing, having just come back," he told the club's official website. "I felt some stiffness with the hamstring 10 minutes or so before I came off but hoped it would ease.

"I will have to see what out medical people say but I reckon I will be out for a couple of weeks at least."

Tommy Miller also limped off during the game, suffering from a dead leg, but Ipswich boss Jim Magilton is optimistic he will return soon.

"Tommy took a knock early on and we didn't want to make it worse," Magilton told the club's official website. "Taking him off gives him the best possible chance of being available for the Sheffield Wednesday game next weekend."
