Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has backed his players to overcome the disappointment of their 2-2 draw with Crewe and come through the replay. The Railwaymen currently prop up the League One table, but they shocked Millwall by going in front after 12 minutes through skipper Dennis Lawrence.
Marc Laird and Andy Frampton struck in the final five minutes of the first half to give the Lions a slender advantage at the break, but Danny Shelley's 58th-minute free-kick was enough to earn Crewe a replay with the winners set to face a trip Newcastle or Hull in the fourth round.
Jackett said: "It would have been nice to put the tie away first time, but it's not to be and have to go to Gresty Road and get ourselves through to the fourth round, but we are well capable of that and it is something we now have to focus on.
"In many ways we played better than we have done for a few games. We certainly got on the ball a lot, put a lot of balls into their box and switched the play from one side to the other. Ali Fuseini came back and had a good game, Scott Barron gave us good width and legs down the left, so those two are plusses."
Meanwhile, midfielder Adam Bolder has returned to QPR following his loan spell with the Lions.
