Scott Brown has insisted he wants to stay at Celtic despite being linked with a big-money move to the English Premier League.
Portsmouth were mooted to be planning a £9million move for the midfielder following the sale of Lassana Diarra to Real Madrid.
Other English clubs are also rumoured to be interested in the Scotland international, who joined the Bhoys from Hibernian 18 months ago.
But Brown has confirmed he is not looking to quit Parkhead during the January transfer window as he focuses on his Celtic commitments.
"I'm a Celtic player and I'm enjoying it just now," said Brown in the Daily Record.
"I want to keep that going. I'm enjoying winning games and looking forward to the future."
Brown also revealed the chance to play regularly in the Champions League is a key factor behind his happiness at Celtic.
"That's the main thing," he added. "Everybody wants to play European football.
"We were a bit disappointed we didn't go further this season in the Champions League, but there is always next year."

Point 2. Rangers only wanted to pay four million for both of them. If Celts sell brown then Strachan should walk away.
How is the premiership Better than the celtic and rangers league. Also Browns not worth £10 million more like £15 million. Just look at what Spurs pay for one of your Huns, £9 million for a defender what a laugh that was Murray laughing all the way to the bank to help pay off the debt B4 the collectors came knocking.
£10 MILLION AND HES YOURS....
MR.G.STRACHAN
points 7 and 9 - Oh, the children are easily amused! I know another good game you could both play. It's called Wash your hands but dont dry them, then play inside an electrical junction box. You get to turn bright blue!
Your right, at the end of the day it comes down to making the best for your family. If i had the chance to more than double my wage i would take it for the fact your making a better life for yourself and getting out of the glasgow goldfish bowl.
point 6. How is it embarrassing?
Would you turn down a 300% pay rise from Aldis to stay working in your local Asdas?
I'd like to hear you explain that one to your Mrs;-)
A YOUNG ventriloquist was doing a show in Glasgow.
With his dummy on his knee, he started going through his
usual Celtic jokes, when a Tim in the second row stood
on his chair and started shouting:
"I've heard enough of your stupid Celtic jokes", he screamed.
"What makes you think you can stereotype Tims in that way?
What does the colour of Strachan's hair have to do with his worth as a human being? It's people like you who keep Tims like me from being respected at work and in the community and from reaching our full potential as people. It's all because you and your kind continue to perpetuate discrimination against not only Tims, but Celtic in general - and all in the name of humour."
The embarrassed ventriloquist began to apologise,
whereupon the Tim yelled, "You stay out of this. I'm talking
to that little @#$% MARION on your lap."
premiership is a better league, but leaving celtic for west ham or portsmouth is embarrassing. i hate celtic but they win the league regularly and are an established champions league side. west ham and portsmouth struggle to survive in premiership. huge step down if he goes.
Before McGeady can walk back into the first team, there is one thing he must understand - contrition! He bad-mouthed the manager (rightly, or wrongly), and he must show that he is truly sorry, not just mouth the words!
why not just come out like a man and dont make excuses about being faithful to the team that beat gers naylor and the rest mcgready should walk in celtic have beat dundee utd if he was on the bench and sent on stachan must tell us supporters the thruth
yes stevie it is and they could not afford him ha ha ha girfuy rearangers
Is that why Rangers wanted him then? Him AND Kevin Thompson?
