Internazionale are aiming to keep troubled Brazilian striker Adriano and will not be bidding for Genoa forward Diego Milito.

Adriano was fined by the Serie A leaders for returning late from holiday in Brazil, missing the first day of training after the winter break.

"I don't believe we will do anything in the January transfer window," club director Gabriele Oriali told the club website.

"We've never said that Adriano was leaving.

"The intention of everyone is to keep him. It depends solely on him."

Adriano has been linked with a move to Chelsea.

Inter host Manchester United in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash on February 24.

The return leg at Old Trafford is on March 11.
