Brighton manager Micky Adams is hoping to secure the signings of Joe Anyinsah and Matt Richards during the January transfer window.

Preston winger Anyinsah is keen to rejoin the Seagulls on a permanent basis after his successful loan spell which ended in mid-December.

"He has expressed a desire to come and join us. We've had an initial chat with Preston and we will see what develops," said Adams.

Richards's half-season loan spell from Ipswich expired at the weekend and Adams would like to keep the left-back at the Withdean, although his wages may prove a stumbling block.

"We've had an initial talk with Matt's agent but personal terms may be a problem. Ipswich have been supplementing his wages to a degree so we may have to look elsewhere for a left-back," added Adams.

The Seagulls also hope to extend the loan spell of Charlton striker Stuart Fleetwood for a third month following Saturday's trip to Walsall.
