Eurosport-Yahoo! readers think that Arsenal will overcome injuries and a dip in form to scrape into the Champions League next season.
We asked you where the Gunners would finish at the end of the campaign after a difficult start was compounded by the loss of Cesc Fabregas, Theo Walcott and Tomas Rosicky through injury.
It seems that most of you are realistic enough, with a whopping 68 per cent of almost 5,000 voters reckoning fourth or fifth is about right.
Eight per cent more thought fourth was more likely than fifth, perhaps hinting at a lack of confidence in Aston Villa, who currently occupy the final Champions League position with three points more than Arsenal.
The die-hard Gooners amongst you appear to have gone full-gun with the positive prediction, with almost three times as many going for champions than runners-up.
That is unlikely to happen, although 11 per cent thought that they might overcome one of Manchester United, Chelsea or current leaders Liverpool to nab third.
Final poll: Where will Arsenal finish this season?
Champions: 8%
Second: 3%
Third: 11%
Fourth: 38%
Fifth: 30%
Sixth or lower: 10%

being an unbiased villa fan i think that the finishing order will be;
man.u
liverpool
chelsea
villa
arsenal
good comment, how many british players do the above have playing at any one time?
I don't wanna be mean about villa but if they get to the champions league, it'll be a complete waste of a space. Remember Everton when they got 4th?
Don't be ridicoulos Aston Villa will never take place of Arsenal in the big four following the next 10 years!
You are all falling apart, Man Utd will obviously retain their title
It's good to dream ain't it.
Arsenal will win every title there is.
(-:
ARSENAL will be CHAMPIONS at the end of the season! You may this is day dream but it is more than true!
post 22:
u r right there about the spurs fans, stop bein jelous of our club!!!
jus look at where u are then...right down ther!!
all u should be worried bout is avoidin relagation...if u can
i think wengers times up!! you are drivin arsenal out of the champ. league for next season so get a new manager in to turn it around!!
i hav to pay credit to villa tho cos theyve been brill so far this season!!
Liiiiveerrrpooooool, Liiiiveerrrpooooool!! - That is all people.
Oh, and that I think Liverpool have a good shot at the treble this year, if not the Premiership, they'll push hard to give something back to the fans, either the Champions League or FA Cup.
With 9 more points to be taken still from Liverpool, Chelsea and Man U, Arseal will be there. Just watch! Just Believe! Reda Maher (Lekedor from Port Harcourt, Nigeria).
arsenal dont av a chance to get 4th this season cos villa are amazin!!
however during the transfer period they might need a couple more signings just to strengthen ther team
..and arsenal definatly need good signings otherwise no champ. league 4 them next season!
I'm a liverpool supporter(ducks all the rotten fruit being thrown at him lol)if i have to pick a second team in england it would be Bristol city as they're nearest to me, but for entertainment, after liverpool id pick arsenal.
I like how they play.
Tho...... i honestly think wenger has taken you as far as he can,its the players that make the team not the manager.
You have what it takes to win more than the premiership .
I think with a new manager ,new impetus, youd push for 1st place,he(wenger) has lost a lil of the players respect and it's showing in their performances, their a little flat.
Plus teams are not fearing arsenal as much as they did, neither do they fear man u.
I'd really like to see Martin o neal at the Emirates stadium.
You could do with Ashley young, he is perfect for the arsenal style, also you could do with Teves, that would allow more freedom to Fabregas who's doing the work of two midfielders at present.....of the other teams in the top 4,i like the arsenal liverpool games the best.always exciting to watch.theres rivalry ok, but not hatred.....peace you gooners, and good luck
what league was he watching and what alternative universe was he part of??? Arsenal 15 points clear at the top in early March!!??? Eh? that wasnt what happened in this world.
Re: Arsene Whinger - here here! he always "does not see zat" re: any controversial incident involving any of his players......apparently, Whinger has £10s of millions 2 spend on new players so I heard somewhere, but who did he buy last summer? hardly anyone. How can you achieve much success, relying on a team nearly full of "rookie" youngsters, having sold 2 or more of your best experienced players........
Arsenal hardly deserve 2 finish in the top 4 this time. It's "odds on" the top 3 will be between Liverpool, Man U, and Chelski. Why not a different team like Villa 4 4th this time? Could Hull mount a late surge, to go for 5th or 6th? watch out 4 Everton too......
Baggyshorts,
This article was posted on Yahoo sport not on arsenal site. I am a neutral but looking from the outside.....
Whinger is always moaning if things dont go right, its the ref, the grass too long, the sun too bright etc etc. Its always someone else's fault and the latest "the rest are against us!" You started the season with the best possible draw, your first eight games were against the bottom clubs. For any other team it would have been an opportunity to get a good lead but frankly you were just not good enough. Last season whinger shouted that you only finished six points behind the leaders. Whilst this is true he forgot to mention that you were fifteen points clear at the top in early March! What happened, maybe he's not the coach you think he is? As for O'Neil losing it, what game did you watch it was clearly Whinger who fell apart; ah the arrogance of the French.
A couple more signings and Villa could win the league, let alone struggle to finish above Arsenal!! The way it's going with the Gooners they might even be fourth best in London by the end of this seaon.... So forth in the league NOT A CHANCE!!! Face it your bubble has burst, Up the Villa!!!
Who cares where they finish as long as its not top, all foreigners, get some english players
Its good because the Villa fans know they have got a chance, but they also know its gonna be a hard slog to get it. the Arsenal fans have a right to be confident but theres no way we should be cocky or over confident because we do know that we are gonna get pushed. Its quite exciting really. villa and Arsenal will occupy the 4th and 5th spots by the end of the season, the question is which way round will it be. I also like it because there is a mutual respect thing going on between Villa and the Gunners. those are the true fans.
im a liverpool supporter and i think the race for fourth is hotting up! villa everton and arsenal are all in with a decent shout at the moment and i wouldnt be suprised if everton nicked 4th spot!! they are playing excellently away from home this season and if they bolster their squad in the transfer window they could suprise us all!!
