Crewe to be Cox-less against Swans

Tue 05 Feb, 02:00 PM

Crewe boss Steve Holland admits he is likely to be without skipper Neil Cox at the weekend after he aggravated a neck and shoulder problem. The Alexandra defender felt the problem during Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Brighton, leaving him a major doubt for Saturday's game with leaders Swansea.

Holland told the club's official website: "Neil has been playing with the problem for the last couple of months and he aggravated it further at Brighton.

"It is disappointing but he has been complaining of some soreness in his neck and shoulder for a while now. He has been living and coping with the problem but having spoken to the physiotherapists last week, Neil is unlikely to play at the weekend."

There is better news, however, concerning defender Julian Baudet after scans revealed he has not broken his toe.

But Baudet remains a "huge doubt" to face the Swans due to swelling and heavy bruising.
