Davey looking for new keeper

Tue 05 Feb, 03:46 PM

Barnsley manager Simon Davey hopes to draft in another goalkeeper on loan in time for the FA Cup fifth-round tie at Liverpool on February 16.Davey brought in Fulham's Tony Warner for Saturday's defeat at Coventry after learning Tykes number one Heinz Muller had been ruled out for the rest of the season with knee ligament damage.

But Warner is not eligible for the cup tie at Anfield after already appearing in the competition for the Cottagers.

Nick Colgan joined Ipswich on a free transfer last week, leaving 24-year-old Kyle Letheren as the only available senior goalkeeper at Oakwell.

Warner will retain his place in Davey's starting line-up for Saturday's visit of West Brom and the trip to Plymouth Argyle the following Tuesday.
