Lisbie wants Us to push on

Tue 05 Feb, 12:15 PM

Striker Kevin Lisbie hopes Colchester's draw at home to Sheffield United can be a launchpad for the rest of the Us' Championship campaign.Geraint Williams' side put on a spirited display at Layer Road last weekend and can count themselves unlucky not to have come away with the spoils.

And Lisbie, who produced an emphatic finish to draw Colchester level just two minutes after half-time, thinks Colchester's recent displays stand them in good stead for the remainder of the season.

He told the club's official website: "I thought we deserved to win that game, it's a bit disappointing that we haven't got the three points. I think we have got to start clinging onto the little things we get now. We're not happy with it but we're going to have to take it.

"We're disappointed but we're also pleased that we got a point and hopefully if we play like that we will get a lot more. We're looking a lot better at the back so hopefully we can only go up from here."
