Posh's Low banking on experience

Tue 05 Feb, 03:31 PM

Peterborough winger Josh Low insists his experience of winning promotion from League Two will prove vital to Darren Ferguson's side. The 28 year-old has made just 16 appearances this term after a combination of injuries and the impressive form of Chris Whelpdale, but after going up with Cardiff and rivals Northampton in the past, Low remains confident about playing his part.

He said: "It's been a frustrating season in many ways. I started off in the team, but injuries and the fact that the lads have been playing really well have slowed me down.

"I felt good after scoring a couple of goals in the reserves at Northampton the other week, but then I picked up an injury in training the day before the West Brom match in the FA Cup when I'm sure I would have been involved in that match.

"I had been in to see the manager who told me that he still felt I would get my chance as long as I'm patient. I accept that and I will knuckle down and work hard to get back into the side.

"I still have plenty to offer as I have the experience of going up twice before at the this level. There will be plenty of pressure on all the teams in the promotion race between now and the end of the season, but I've been through it successfully before."
