David Beckham set up a goal but the left the action early with a minor injury as LA Galaxy eased to a 3-0 win over Shanghai-Hong Kong United.Carlos Ruiz scored all three goals for the MLS side in Shanghai to secure their first victory of their Asian tour in their second match in the Far East.

Beckham provided the pass for the opening goal in first half injury time, clipping an inviting cross to Ruiz who headed beyond goalkeeper Gu Chao.

The England midfielder was substituted in the 70th minute as a precaution after he had taken a knock to his right thigh, though the injury is not serious, before Ruiz scored twice in the last 11 minutes.

"It was nice to win the game," admitted Beckham.

"I think we played very well and we played good football. We had a good time here."
