Folly setback for Pilgrims

Wed 05 Mar, 02:15 PM

Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Sturrock has spoken of his frustration after revealing midfielder Yoann Folly has suffered another bout of illness.Folly has been restricted to just one start for Argyle since his January move from Sheffield Wednesday after a catalogue of illness problems.

Sturrock told the club's official website: "Folly has got food poisoning now.

"The only two things he has not had are the plague and Black Death and I think they are the same, so it must be swamp fever he hasn't had.

"It is very unfortunate for Yoann. His fitness levels have deteriorated since he got here - he just can't run. We can't get to the bottom of it and it is really worrying.

"His reserve-team performances are a shell of the player I have been involved with in the past. He has been a big miss because he would have put a lot of pressure on the two central midfield players."
