Southend midfielder Anthony Grant has set his sights on a starting berth against Luton on Saturday with Alan McCormack suspended for the clash.The 20-year-old, on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season, has been restricted to substitute appearances for Steve Tilson's side.

However, with McCormack suspended, Grant is hoping to make his first start and help boost the Shrimpers' League One promotion hopes.

"Hopefully I can figure on Saturday," Grant told the club's official website.

"I'm really enjoying my time here at Southend and I believe we can get promotion.

"So far though I've been restricted to substitute appearances though, so it would be nice to make my full debut on Saturday."
