On-loan Chesterfield midfielder Lloyd Kerry has revealed he would like to remain at the Saltergate club until the end of the season. The 19-year-old, who is halfway through a month's loan from neighbours Sheffield United, believes he will have more first-team opportunities with the Spireites.
"My stay ends after the Rotherham game on March 15. I have not spoke to the gaffer about it yet but I am hoping to sign until the end of the season," Kerry told the club's official website.
"I am enjoying it here and first-team football is what I want. I want to be playing week in, week out and I have more chance of doing that here.
"I want to help Chesterfield's push for promotion, and hopefully that automatic promotion place is not beyond us if we keep winning and results go our away."
