Manager Alan Knill was on tenterhooks in the second half of Bury's 4-1 victory at Brentford and hailed Darren Randolph for keeping them in it.The Shakers were 3-0 up at half-time as Nicky Adams and Glynn Hurst scored within 90 seconds of each other and Andy Bishop chipped in from 30 yards.
Glenn Poole pulled one back for Brentford from the penalty spot and Bury goalkeeper Randolph produced a brilliant save from Reuben Reid to preserve the two-goal cushion before Bishop added a fourth.
Knill said: "We came in 3-0 up at half-time, scored three really good goals and I thought it was the least we deserved.
"It was pretty scary in the second half. Our keeper makes a great save otherwise it would have been 3-2 and it would have been really close.
"That save has won the game for us. Now we have to build on this."
