Hartlepool manager Danny Wilson is set to discover the full extent of striker Richie Barker's knee injury in the next couple of days.The 32-year-old is Pools' top-scorer this season with 16 goals and suffered the injury during the 1-0 win over Oldham on Tuesday.

Physio James Haycock confirmed that it is too early to determine how serious the injury is, but is hopeful it will not keep Barker out of action for long.

"It's something we'll assess over the next 24 to 48 hours to see if there's any change," he told the club's official website.

"At the moment it's way too early to say what damage has been done, but we should be in a better position to say in a day or two.

"Obviously it's a painful one for him but hopefully it won't keep him out of action for long."
