Lee showed red cards to Swindon's Lee Peacock and Billy Paynter in the second half, but it was the contentious penalty he handed to Huddersfield just before the break which left Malpas fuming.

Robins defender Miguel Comminges was adjudged to have brought down Michael Collins after 39 minutes after the home side had raced into a three-goal lead through Paynter and a brace from Craig Easton.

Malpas said: "It was an iffy penalty but I will say the referee did get two decisions right all evening and one of those was Lee Peacock's sending-off.

"There were so many poor decisions and it says a lot when me and [Huddersfield manager] Andy Ritchie looked at each other on a number of occasions and said 'what was that for?"
