Manchester City's hard-fought win over Aston Villa sees them claim five places in our midweek Team of the Week, including star goalscorer Shaun Wright-Phillips.
HOW IT WORKS
We tot up the marks out of 10 awarded in five national newspapers - The Sun, The Mirror, The Mail, The Times and The Guardian - to create a total out of 50. The top player in each position will be rewarded with a spot in the team of the week, while the worst scorers will be named and shamed in our Flops XI.
TEAM OF THE WEEK
City's midfield takes pride of place with Elano and Stephen Ireland joining Wright-Phillips and Spurs' Luka Modric in the middle four. Defenders Pablo Zabaleta and Richard Dunne make up the City quintet. Hull's Matt Duke takes the goalkeeping spot after keeping Fulham at bay while young Liverpool full-back Emiliano Insua also sneaks in. The much maligned Nicklas Bendtner earns a start up front after his two goals at West Brom.

spurs will stay up this season and why is lennon not in the team of the week he has bn the best since we got him and y is swp he hasnt done anything gd in ages i think lennon is one of the best right midfilders in the prem lege this year still needs to work on his crossing though but its still getting better
Hey why is there no Drogba in the team of the week? What about Nicolas Anelka in the Team of the Season? What about Malouda in the flop of the week well maybe he is not able to make it in the flops of the season, can somebody answer my question.....chelsea for life
priest_26 RTFM
Why is nto Lennon in the team of the week? He played one of his best games in a Spurs shirt, scoring 2 goals and yet, SWP is ahead of him. Same goes for Robbie Keane - 1 goal and 3 assists, yet Rooney is ahead of him. Who makes this TOW anyway?
given better than vds cuz infrone of him is 2 joker?ok....maybe u rite....how about about defence spot....where is rio or vidic?or this 3 player ar same muppet with 2 defence infrone given??ridiculous..
Manager of the season MEGSON not
joint 8th top scorer and thats something to be proud of???????lol
Surely ryan giggs should be in team of the season, he's probably best in league this year (certainly uniteds)... Lampard also very good.. between those two
Darren Bents joint 8th top scorer this season, same number of goals as any arsenal player! how can he be in flops of the season?
LOL... I just read this news on some tall interesting place called: ___T allmingle Co M____ the most popular place for h ot mo dels, handsome men me et and mi ngle! u might be surprise what u end up with!!LOL :-)
Ashley B did your boyfriend lose his pubes on your face?
All lennon does is run around like a headless chicken.
i agree...lennon should be in team of the week instead of elano!

Nice one maxtheyid. How is Lennon not in Team of the week? He was Electric against Man U and got two goals and was the best player on the pitch against Boro.
Lucky Chelsea side Tony H? Face it you were always going to lose, those players didn't play well. I don't support Chelsea by the way. Let's hope Pompey get relegated...
..Nice one Vishay K! dirty Harry seems to have got a richer club, but defintely not a "big, better" club, in Tottenumb. Let's hope they get back 2 losing ways and back into the relegation mire soon......
.....why are Nico Kranjcar and David Nugent in the flops of the week??? they were up against a quality (and very physical and lucky) Chelsea the other night. Apparently Kranjcar got at least 1 shot close 2 goal, and he's gradually recovering from recent injury. David Nugent has still only had limited chances, as Tony Adams, and now Paul Hart, have now brought him - and Hermann Hreidersson - out of the "cold" apparently imposed on them by dirty Harry before......
Give Nugent a chance.......stay up Pompey, Pompey stay up! Pompey Tone.
is it just me or is flop of the season team half of tottenhams squad? haha.
If EvdS has a great team in front of him, where the hell is Vidic (and Ferdinand) on this crappy list???? What kind of a joke list is this...
