World record holders Kenenisa Bekele and Yelena Isinbayeva will join American standouts Tyson Gay and Sanya Richards in the July 3 Prefontaine Classic at Eugene, Oregon.
Ethiopian Bekele, the world's fastest at 5,000 and 10,000 metres, will run the shorter race while Russia's Isinbayeva will make her first outdoor US appearance in the pole vault at the IAAF Diamond League meeting.
Both were recently named athletics' athletes of the decade by Track & Field News magazine.
National 100 metres record holder and world silver medallist Gay will run the 200 metres, with Richards competing at 400 metres, where she is the world champion.
Meanwhile, defending champions Christian Cantwell, Bryan Clay and Lolo Jones headline a 51-member US team for next week's IAAF world indoor championships.
The championships will be held March 12-14 in Doha, Qatar, with Cantwell competing in the shot put, Clay the heptathlon and Jones in the women's 60 metres hurdles.
World outdoor champions Trey Hardee (decathlon) and Brittney Reese (women's long jump) are also on the team along with former indoor winners Terrence Trammell (60 metres hurdles), Bernard Lagat (3,000 metres) and Walter Davis (triple jump).
Cantwell, Trammell, Reese and team mates Ivory Williams (60 metres) and Debbie Dunn (women's 400 metres) have the year's best marks in their events.
