Fulham goalkeeper Kasey Keller could stay even if they are relegated.
The American's comments come as the second-from-bottom Cottagers face the drop from the Premier League.
If Fulham do get relegated, there has been speculation the 38-year-old could return to America in the summer, but he would like to stay in London.
He told the Daily Star: "Of course it would be even better if we were still in the Premier League.
"But I wouldn't rule out staying if that weren't the case.
"I've spent most of my professional career in London and absolutely love it here.
"A couple of weeks ago we had a chat about the possibility of staying next season.
"But it would have to be later on before we got down to serious talks about that."
