Scotland skip Warwick Smith continued his winning streak by downing China and Denmark at the men's World Curling Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Smith remains unbeaten after five matches as his Scottish rink thrashed China 8-3 with two ends to spare and then eased past Denmark with a 7-4 win ahead of their crunch group clash with Canada.
The only other skip with a flawless record is Canada's Kevin Koe - and the teams clash next to decide, albeit briefly, who will top the standings.
However, Smith - who claimed the scalp of reigning world champion David Murdoch at the recent Scottish Championships - is taking nothing for granted as he edges closer to securing his place in the medal mix.
"I wanted to play Canada with a minimum of one loss on the board, so to be unbeaten is very pleasing and good for confidence," he said.
"But we've got six more matches and there are plenty of good teams out there to play yet."
