Veteran midfielder Darren Anderton has hinted he would like to stay at relegated Bournemouth despite their demotion to League Two.Anderton started in the side that saw the Cherries relegated on Saturday after their 1-1 draw with Carlisle and the 36-year-old former England international is one of a host of players whose contract is due to expire at the end of June.

He told the Bournemouth Daily Echo: "I'm just hopeful we can keep this group together and, if we do, then I think I'd like to be part of it.

"At the moment, I would have to say I would like to play again next season.

"The past few weeks have been amazing. For me, it's been a privilege to play with the lads."
