Manager Roberto Martinez insists there will be no room for sentiment when it comes to preparing Swansea for an assault on the Championship.The Spaniard plans to strengthen his League One champions with new signings in the summer, meaning that some members of the promotion-winning squad may not get the chance to show what they can do at a higher level.

"I won't be loyal to my players because a manager should not be loyal," said Martinez. "Football makes decisions, and it is down to me to be very honest with my assessment so we get what is best for Swansea City.

"Every squad needs to be improved, but I have seen a huge improvement in these players in the last 10 months.

"They are an average age of 25, so there is room for lots more improvement."
