Trollope keen to strengthen attack

Mon 05 May, 03:32 PM

Bristol Rovers first-team coach Paul Trollope has placed strengthening the club's attacking options at the top of his list of priorities. The Pirates scored just 45 goals in their first season back in League One as they finished just five points above the relegation zone.

Trollope said: "We expected to finish higher than 16th in the table, but we are there because we have fallen short because of our inability to take chances.

"We need to add one or possibly two strikers for next season to make sure we address that and progress.

"We need to shape the squad to make sure we move forward and keep going in the right direction."
