Great Britain's women have been drawn alongside defending Olympic champions Germany at this summer's Beijing Games.

The Germans were surprise winners in Athens four years ago but since that success have added the European Championship to their Olympic gold medal.

Great Britain, who are currently ranked 10th in the world, will also face world number twos Argentina, Japan (sixth), New Zealand (seventh) and the USA (11th).

The other pool includes World Cup winners Holland, Australia, China, Spain, South Korea and South Africa.

The South Koreans crushed Italy 5-0 in the final women's Olympic qualifying event in Victoria, British Columbia to claim the last spot in Beijing.

They wasted no time with Mi Hyun Park, Hye Jin Seo and Seon Ok Lee from a penalty corner all scoring in the opening 11 minutes.

Sung Hee Gim and Jong Eun Kim completed the rout.
