Leicester defender Bruno Berner is desperate to make an impact in the Championship next season.

The former Blackburn player started 21 games for the Foxes this term as they won the race for promotion from League One.

Berner said boss Nigel Pearson has told the team to return from their summer holidays in top shape as they target a high finish in the Championship.

"I cannot wait to play in the Championship next season," he told the club`s official website.

"The manager has said come back strong because we want to drive ourselves on again.

"It is all about competition. We need to deliver again next season and it all comes from ourselves."
