Premiership - Man Utd striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists he will be fit for next season after undergoing knee surgery. The Norwegian was suffering from discomfort on international duty and it was decided that an operation would be the best way to solve the problem.
The operation was a success and Solskjaer is already looking forward to the beginning of next season.
He told reporters: "I don't want you to write my football-career history book yet,"
"I was relieved to discover that this wasn't something new, but something from the injury in March.
"The whole operation was discussed with United. They were fine with me having the surgery in Norway and, by the way, the surgeon is invited to next year's Champions League Final," he joked.
Norway's team doctor Thor Einar Anderson confirmed the operation was a success.
He said: "The surgery went fine."
"We found what we expected when we looked at his knee. It was swollen and the joint was irritated, but we treated it.
"Hopefully his knee will be better when he resumes his training. We hope this is not something that will return again and again, but it's too soon to say."
