Huddersfield Town have fended off the challenge of several Championship clubs to sign midfielder Jim Goodwin from Scunthorpe United. The 26-year-old, who was released by The Iron following their relegation to League One last season, has penned a three-year contract at the Galpharm Stadium.
Manager Stan Ternent told the club's official website: "Jim is a real winner and a very competitive midfield player who is a proper Championship performer.
"There were others in for him but he's seen the club, noted the support and taken on board our ambitions. He knows we want promotion and he's keen to be a part of it."
