Yorkshire are without captain Darren Gough for their trip to Somerset in Division One of the LV County Championship.
Gough suffered the recurrence of a back injury during the Tykes' six wicket win over Gloucestershire in the Friends Provident Trophy quarter-final on Wednesday. Anthony McGrath is set to lead the side as he did in Gough's previous absence.
Seamer Matthew Hoggard will try to improve his claims for an England recall when he returns to championship action following a broken thumb. He made his comeback at Bristol, taking 3-26.
There will be at least one other change to the side that drew with Roses rivals Lancashire last time out in the championship with youngster Ben Sanderson making way. David Wainwright and Steve Patterson vie for his place.
Seam trio Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Deon Kruis and Ajmal Shahzad are still missing with hamstring injuries. Shahzad is a week away from returning but Kruis and Naved are still out for a month and six weeks respectively.
Batsman Chris Taylor is expected to return from a calf injury next week.
Leaders Somerset remain without former England fast bowler Andrew Caddick.
Caddick, who underwent back surgery during the winter, has not featured this season but was touted for a return against the Tykes. However, the four-day game comes too soon for the 39-year-old.
All-rounder Peter Trego is also still a major doubt with a side strain that kept him out of today's rescheduled Friend Provident Trophy quarter-final against Kent at Beckenham.
Coach Andy Hurry will check on the fitness of the players who took part before and after their overnight journey back to Taunton.
