Chinese wildcard Li Hang continued his superb form at the Jiangsu Classic in Wuxi as he beat Peter Ebdon and Ryan Day to end the first day as the only player with three victories to his name.
After beating Ding Junhui in the morning, the 19-year-old came back from losing the opening frame against both Ebdon and Day.
In the Ebdon match he impressed with his patience and tenacity, coming back from 44-0 down to win the second frame before edging a scrappy third.
He turned on the style against Day, however, producing breaks of 77 and 62 to take the match.
In group two Mark Selby was the only other player who remained unbeaten for the day after adding a 2-1 afternoon win against Jin Long to his earlier 2-0 defeat of Ali Carter.
World Championship runner-up Shaun Murphy had a worse evening, however, losing 2-0 to Joe Perry to upset his perfect record from the morning's matches.
Carter recovered from his disappointing morning defeat by Selby to win both of his evening matches, first consigning Joe Perry to a 2-1 defeat before edging a tense deciding frame on the black against the winless Jin.

Morning session report
Ding Junhui suffered a shock defeat in the opening round of games at the Jiangsu Classic in his home city of Wuxi as he lost 2-1 to Li Hang.
Ding, the defending champion in the event, managed to keep his semi-final hopes alive with a 2-1 win over Stephen Hendry by winning the first and third frames on the colours.
Hendry suffered a double defeat as he also lost 2-0 to Mark Allen and he will now almost certainly have to win all three of his remaining group games to qualify.
Also in Group One, Ryan Day produced a break of 132 before coming from 51-0 down in the second frame to defeat Peter Ebdon 2-0.
In Group Two, World Championship runner-up Shaun Murphy continued his recent good form as he started with two 2-0 victories over Jin Long and Marco Fu.
Fu however enjoyed one victory in the morning session as he defeated Joe Perry 2-0, while Mark Selby also got off to a great start with a 2-0 victory over Ali Carter.

Congrats to Mark!!! He made his first official 147!!!!! What a shame we were not able to see that
best of 3 frames? the results are pretty much pot luck then, no surprise that some random wins a few matches in a row, but well done to the lad anyway.
Hope they show some of it on tv... go, Selby!
