Liverpool defender Andrea Dossena seems destined for a return to Italy after asking manager Rafael Benitez for a transfer.
The 27-year-old international left-back failed to establish himself after being signed as John Arne Riise's replacement in a £7million transfer from Udinese last summer.
"Before coming back to Italy I talked to Rafael Benitez and explained to him my doubts," he told Tuttosport.
"I told him I wanted to leave. He is an exceptional person and understood my problem.
"He told me that if they receive an offer that satisfies both the club and me, he will take it into consideration and try to facilitate my transfer.
"I would run to Juve. They showed interest in me last year, but then Liverpool stepped in and wrapped things up in less than an hour.
"Of course I would accept an offer. You're talking about one of the biggest clubs in Europe

Not good enough for Liverpool really but good enough to make Van Der Sar bend over and pick one out of the onion bag. Good Luck in Italy....you were just warming up towards the end scoring against Madrid and Manu...As for Everton, Moyes has done well with limited resources...good luck to him and the team but they will always be walking in the shadow of the sun
koppite i just love it when i can get one over you , who kicked your sorry arses out of the fa cup , at least we got to a final what did you do oh yes thats right you gave up , Moyes is a better manager than benitez as all he can do is throw money at people to try and buy games , Moyes has no money to spend and still goes on to win . When you realise that you have no money who are you going to buy even the Arabs will not bail you out , go on sink like a stone or Leeds with all my pleasure
There's a thought, we could sell Dossena to the Bluenoses. Im sure he'd get a regular game there every week. The potential lynchpin of their defence!.
Blue Noses, don't you just love 'em? Er...actually, no.
Small club, small mindedness. Big chip on shoulder.
Where did you finish this year? What happened at Wembley? Yes exactly. Dismal failure.Would have thought you guys would be used to it by now but no, you keep thinking you are better than you really are.
Yes, Moyes works wonders at Goodie. Its a wonder you haven't been relegated.
Next season, maybe?
everton, tut tut. that 'other' club in liverpool. lol
"this city has two great teams - liverpool and liverpool reserves"
TERENCE E - i know you're jealous of liverpool's boundless success and everything but at least show some respect to a fellow human being. calling him a rat isn't going to improve the image everton. if you have its crest as your display picture at least conduct yourself in a responsible manner. as for liverpool 'sinking', you're just another ill-imformed hopeful. the media love to exaggerate such stories. unfortunately for people like yourself, liverpool are safe and sound for many years to come. having said that, the reason you want liverpool to go under is because you know very well that the only way everton will ever be a better football club that liverpool is if liverpool go bankrupt. lol
as for scottdarby, calling liverpool an 'average team' is just plain stupid and for that reason i won't go too much into that.
when the bankers come calling and you cant pay your debt then we will see who the small club really is , Dossenna wants to leave is this the start of rats leaving a sinking ship
Good move dossena , move to a club that can win things ,liverpool are just an average team.
who cares we just got glen bye doss you good dont exspect a great good bye
like sami..
Liverpool should have kept John Arne Riise, he was one of the best defenders in the prem. OK, he had a run of poor form but he's playing well again now. Get him back and stop buying rubbish.
good decision to leave a bad rubbish
i standby my previous statement!
i fink he is a good player so what ever u say i fink he should stay
I wish him luck no matter what he does, im thankful for the goal he scored when we battered Manure at Mold Trafford !
come to milan !!!
why are man utd fans commenting on a liverpool story? you have your own news to read. tevez is leaving and christiano ronaldo is hardly shy about his love for real madrid. but I guess you would rather not think about that.sorry for bringing it up.BECAUSE YOU BITE EVERY TIME SUCKER
IT WAS supposed to be the summer when Liverpool laid the final bricks in the quest to bring the Holy Grail of the Premier League crown to Anfield.
Instead, it could turn into the one which sees Rafa Benitez's carefully-constructed platform come crashing down around his ears. HO HO
Who's the small club now Benitez?
i think if he wants to go then thats fine, i believe with the spine of a team we have we can easily build around it and go on to win the premiership and champions league double next year and maybe even the fa cup, rafa is probably the best manager in the world at the moment and with him at the helm we can achieve great great things, ah no im only taking the urine liverpool are a load of s.hit ha, gerrard rafa torres no bottle muppets, and when your half decent players leave your goin down, does gerrard still want that move to chelsea! glory glory man utd.. when was the last time you could say glory muppets.....yeeeaaaaaaaa
These are dark times for Liverpool Football Club and their long-suffering, hopelessly devoted, hopelessly romantic band of supporters.
Without a trophy to celebrate in three years, Liverpool fans are now faced with the possibility their storied club could disappear from the face of the earth altogether.
The news came just days after the most successful club in top-flight history missed out on Gareth Barry - who went to a club with more ambition in Manchester City.
It comes on the back of a Premier League season that saw Liverpool stumble like a startled goat from the summit and hand bitter rivals Manchester United yet another title. THESE ARE GREAT DAYS. mmmmmm00000000!
